ABOUT THE AWARD

 

The R.E.P. Award, given in loving memory of Rosemary Elaine Piccoli, is a yearly award and show created to help further the careers of up-and-coming singers and to help offset the expense of producing their solo career.

ABOUT ROE

Roe Piccoli has been entertaining audiences from coast to coast for the past 30 years. Originally from New York, she moved to California in the early 1980’s where she began her semi-professional career in show business. In her first show, she was cast as General Cartwright in Guys and Dolls. She went on to perform in numerous productions in Southern California, including at the prestigious Downey Civic Light Opera.

 

 In June of 2023, she was 2nd runner up in the Ms. New Jersey Senior America Pageant, where she sang

“It’s Not Where You Start, It’s Where You Finish”.

Roe moved back to New York City in 2009. After a brief hiatus, Roe joined Manhattan Cabaret Arts (MCA). From 2017-2022. Roe appeared in nine MCA ensemble shows, all held at the world famous Don’t Tell Mama Cabaret in New York City.

​Roe debuted her one-woman show, Little Things Mean a Lot in 2018 with three separate performances at Don’t Tell Mama NYC. The Rox and Roe Review, a duet show, previewed at Don’t Tell Mama in April of 2022.  Roe was a finalist in the 2018 Tomatoes Got Talent in NYC’s Triad Theater. Roe has performed at several local events, including The Light of Day Parkinson’s Fundraiser in 2018 at the famous Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey. She also performed at the annual benefit for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in 2019, 2020 and 2022 at Don’t Tell Mama.

​Roe met her husband, Carl Sari, the love of her live, while being invited to sing "The Time Warp" in his band. "It was just a jump to the left" ... and the rest was history.

 

Even after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, she continued to perform til right before her death.

​

It is our hope that the R.E.P. award will allow Roe's extraordinary talent and loving generosity to live on. 

​

It is a way to give back to the cabaret community which welcomed her with open arms. We hope you will join us in creating something remarkable in Roe's memory.

On October 14, 2024, THREE TOMATOES is paying tribute to Roe at the Triad Theater in New York City for her 2 performances in the Tomatoes shows over the years. 

​
